The sound of music
I've been obsessed with old cinema for a long while now and today I revisited my all time favorite "The sound of music."
The sound of music is a 3 hour long film that was released in the year 1965. I think it got everything just right, I've watched and re-watched it who knows how many times by now.
The film revolves around a postulant named Maria who for a brief period is to be governess at the house of a retired sea captain with seven children. The film is set in Austria during the late 1930's. Maria is one of the best female protagonists I've seen in film, hers and the entire cast's performance made this film unforgettable. A 3 hour long film that you sit through over and over!
I generally prefer to keep away from modern day cinema, it's just not on par with the classics. The day's of excellent film making are mostly behind us! Films from the past feel magical which is something I can't say for most of the films produced today.
OK I think I've said enough, I seem to be predisposed to taciturnity and this shows not only through speech but throughout my writing. :-)
